Rue
Rue is a tall skinny girl, a healthy weight for her breed mix.
Rue goes with the flow and is happy girl, happy to go for a walk, happy to hang out at home. She has prey drive and will stare down squirrels!
When she doesn’t know what is expected of her she will look to the other dog in the home, when alone she whines, ( this is very German Shepherd of her) her perfect home will have another dog for her to play with.
Rue requests soft beds, a couch or toddler bed to sleep and relax on. It's going to be next to impossible to keep her off of the furniture.
Rue is a counter surfer, her perfect home won’t keep food out for her to grab.
She’s a gentle giant but she is still young, on walks she is lovely but has to be reminded not to pull.
Rue loves dogs of all sizes, playing gently with 8-week-old puppies, to hyper adult dogs. She is able to match her play to her playmate. Rue would love a family with another playful pup.
Rue is keenly aware of her size and her body and does not knock things over or run into people, even tiptoeing around the youngest humans in the house not to bump them.
Rue is going to be stopped all her life by admirers. Her adopter will be told she’s too skinny, they will ask about her elbows and they will say what a sweet girl she is! Her perfect home will understand the needs of XXL breed.
Please make sure to research this breed before you apply.
They have a shorter life span and need a few extra things because of there size.
Because Rue is so large and angular, she needs more cushion whenever she lounges to avoid pressure sores. She currently has 2 golf ball size masses that will take time to go away, she wears special braces daily - no medical treatment is needed at this time, just braces, and soft bedding.
Rue’s perfect family will understand this unique breed, as well as the needs of a sight hound. This mixed breed can be sensitive to change. It also comes out vocally, she whines, barks and Aruuu's for attention, or to express her displeasure in a situation.

Adoption Info
-
Puplandia only adopts within the Portland metro area (within 1 hour of Beaverton, OR).
-
The first thing you will want to do is check out our pups that are ready for adoption. Once you come across a fur baby that looks like it might be a good fit, please e-mail puplandiadogrescue@gmail.com to get an application, with the name of the pup in your subject line.
-
Please know that applications are reviewed with a best fit mentality and are not first come first serve.
-
As we are completely foster based, meet and greets are done by appointment only on approved applications. We do not have a facility that you can go to and meet all available dogs, but we do have monthly adoption events that we promote on our Facebook page and Instagram.
-
We require all of our dogs to be spayed/neutered prior to adoption or in a specific time frame for puppies. We do not allow ear cropping or tail docking and a home visit is required before any adoption can take place.
-
The cost to adopt a dog is as follows:
-Puppy (1 year or younger) $550 Fee
-Adult dogs (2+ years old) $450 Fee
-
The adoption fee ensures that the dog is up to date on shots, microchipped and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. In many cases, the adoption fees do not cover all the costs Puplandia has incurred to get the dog healthy and ready for adoption. All additional medical costs to ensure a healthy pup are covered entirely through donations.
